A survivorship movement created by Black women, for Black women.
Advancing healing, dignity and life after treatment.

Black women surviving cancer face some of the highest emotional, financial, and physical burdens, yet receive the least support once treatment ends. AfterFIRE Foundation was created to address the gap that emerges after the bell is rung, when systems go quiet but survivors are expected to carry on.
Survivorship must be protected, resourced and seen.

A soft-landing support line offering connection, compassion, and culturally grounded guidance for survivors who need a safe place to turn.

We support Black women survivors navigating life after treatment, restoring dignity, identity, and emotional grounding when the system goes silent.
We support survivors carrying invisible wounds from the cancer journey, helping them reclaim peace, grounding, and emotional safety.
We help survivors navigate the “after,” restoring stability, confidence and the parts of life treatment overlooked.
We stand with survivors who often feel alone after the bell is rung, creating community and visibility where the system has offered silence.

Healing after cancer is not automatic.
Survivorship requires dignity, compassion, and sustained community.
AfterFIRE Foundation was created by a Black woman survivor who experienced what too many women encounter once treatment ends: silence, fragmentation, and a system unprepared for life after the bell is rung.
Our work exists to restore what treatment often overlooks the woman herself. Her identity. Her stability. Her future.
AfterFIRE is built on the belief that survivorship is not a luxury or an afterthought. It is a human right.
We are committed to advancing survivorship equity through culturally grounded support, restoration-centered programming, and systems-level advocacy that ensures Black women are not left to navigate the “after” alone.

AfterFIRE Foundation is a state registered nonprofit corporation, committed to advancing survivorship equity for Black
